Although there were no races this year, the BBQ Cookoff was a success! The Anthony Downs Race Board would like to thank all the sponsors and participants of the 8th Annual (2011) sanctioned KCBS BBQ Cook-Off. The food served was finger-licking delicious. A special thanks goes out to 'Shorty" Allen Thomas and Dan Bird for getting the event together. If you have pictures of this event or know someone who does please email them to us so I can post them online!
The Prime Rib Dinner was a great success and the food was fantastic. A thanks goes out to Pig-In-Pig-Out BBQ for catering the meal!
We had 26 Contestants for the Cookoff, 7 participating in the People's Choice. We also had 12 Kid's Q entries. Check out the 2011 Results link for more information on the results.
