Contestants may arrive any time during the week prior to the event. Contestant Spaces are 25'W x 30'L, although we can accomodate a larger length. We have 2 - 50 AMP breakers, 5- 30 AMP, and the rest are 20 AMP breakers. Please specify in your registration what you will need.
Categories will include: Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket, Sausage and People's Choice. Note: Sausage Category is optional and there is not an additional fee to enter. This category is not counted toward Grand Champion. Category Entry Fee $150. Entry fee includes electric and ice. Check out the Prize Information page to see the breakdown of prize money. Cook's meeting will be on Friday at 7:00 pm. This competition is KCBS Sanctioned and is a State Qualifier. Awards will be presented Saturday around 2:45pm.
There is an optional People's Choice competition. If you choose to compete, you will be given a butt or brisket to cook. We are in the process of updating the way this competition runs and would appreciate any suggestions.
The Anthony Downs BBQ Cook-off will follow the KCBS rules except for the Sausage Category, which is whatever goes. You can go to www.KCBS.us to download a copy of the KCBS rules.
